I've been looking around for live action Japanese shows to help with language immersion (anime only helps so much, hurts in others) and while nyaa has some, it's mostly tokusatsu stuff like Kamen Rider which isn't my thing or dead torrents. And most of the stuff in the megathread is for English content, or at the very least non-Asian content. So I notice there isn't a wiki but hope you guys could give me the fill of info. I just got myself a amazon TV streaming thing and are hoping to watch TV as if I'm in Japan. Ideally for free but if not, cheap options would suffice. I’m back to studying Japanese after a 10ish-year break. I got one free app called YoiTV in the hope that regularly watching Japanese TV and hearing native speakers would help me improve.  So far, I’m surprisingly enjoying watching Japanese TV despite understanding almost nothing (expect when watching children shows, which get old). I assume that sooner or later the novelty of accessing Japanese TV channels will wear off and I won’t be as willing to watch programs where I only understand 5% of what’s being said. How do I view NHK World live and on demand on the TV? Do I need to buy an android TV box or buy a device to allow me to use chrome cast? Also, how's the quality of the videos on a big TV screen? Is it good? Are there any issues I should be aware of such as with the interface or the video and play buttons not fitting the TV screen well? I'm missing Japan so much and want to watch NHK programmes on a big TV screen and have something playing in the background when I'm doing other things in the house.
