I asked this question last year but back then things were shutting down, what about this year? Or is there a way to watch the NHK stream from here? I wouldn't mind paying for it to be honest, if I can find a way to subscribe to it! I started learning Japanese a little over two months ago and I feel like I haven't made much progress - I follow the MoeWay guide. I finished the Tae Kim grammar guide and am currently reviewing it, and I've been doing Anki flashcards for a little under a month. However, whenever I go online and attempt to read random japanese stuff, it's almost impossible for me save for super simple sentences. Is there anything else I should be doing? Someone online told me: how about adding to some fun by watching Japanese anime or some Japanese TV programs for Japanese kids with not complicated contents? I'm looking for Ken Shimura-type comedy shows or shows with physical comedy. My Japanese mother has dementia and enjoys physical comedy. I'm hoping there's a channel or two that airs these types of shows 24/7 (even re-runs) as I don't know Japanese. I want to watch Pokémon live but the place I do it wouldn't work last week and it's still not working for me. For other people it works but not me.  Probably because I'm on an iPhone but yeah. I used Mov3 but they switched to Vaughn Live which just loads forever and I've tried different browsers. My Japanese TV live subscription has expired and renewal seems to be complicated. I decided to test YoiTV since it has been displaying on this subreddit. It has a better interface than other live streaming app and there are a few features I noticed immediately. They are quite basic but are a huge quality of life improvement: The time is displayed in JST. I don't understand why this isn't the case with other apps.  Ability to have a favorite list. YoiTV records everything for a certain period. With the app, you can "record" future TV show and they'll show up in your recording tab. I put "recording" in quotes since I believe they go away in 2 weeks or so. But it's a nice way to curate TV shows.  Final thoughts: Lastly, I hope to find a web URL to download the videos. I've heard about YoiTV and I ran it using an Android Box. It works for me so well. I love YoiTV. Yesterday, I was aware of the expiration.  It is just the day after tomorrow.  Ah....No. Can I continue using this service? With this question, I sent the email to support@yoitv.com  and got the reply that they could help extend the trial period. Yes, another 30 days for a trial. They said as long as the paid version is not released, I can always get the free days. Just contact them with YoiTV ID. I came to a slump in studying and was moping about how easy it is for people who grew up natively speaking multiple languages, but thinking back to why that is started to change my idea of learning. I decided for the next week I’m going to attempt full language immersion like a baby would. Being constantly surrounded by the language of the country they were born into.
