Get A Flawless Free Streaming Service YoiTV For Watching Japanese TV Channels Abroad

I've been living in Japan for 3 years now and while my Japanese has improved somewhat, I haven't made the progress that I want since I live in a little mountain town with a few thousand people, most well over my age. One of the Japanese teachers I work with suggested I watch more TV so I can expose myself to the language more, but I don't get many channels.

I asked my friend who lives in another foreign country about any recommendations for good services with a good set of shows that would help me with my overall exposure to the language. He shared one free app YoiTV for me and really works flawlessly!!!

YoiTV - the free app, offers the service for watching Japanese TV live. It was primarily for my wife's monolingual Japanese parents to watch when they come to visit us at home in California. Free Resources for Learning Japanese - YoiTV App

I'm making this post to hopefully provide some useful tips and resources for someone new to learning japanese and who's lost on where to start. I'll go with the order that worked for me, but there is no right or wrong way to learn Japanese, and if something works for you then do keep doing it. A lot of "sections" it helps to learn in parallel, so don't take this as a step-by-step guide, more of a reference. 1. Hiragana and Katakana The website tofugu.com is wonderful at teaching them, and this is definitely where I would start 2. Grammar The best way I know of is this: https://guidetojapanese.org/learn/complete/ It does have a learning curve to it (it uses pretty complex kanji and assumes you know kana pretty well already), but it explains the material very clearly. 3.
