Excited To Start My Jdrama Journey With YoiTV

It's been a long time since I watch jdrama. Can anyone suggest me any dramas around 2019-2021 all genres are welcome. I love the old classic ones of course but I already watched almost all of them so I need new and fresh dramas. I'm a big fan of romance, medical, detective/police, slice of life. I loved jdrama since I was in highschool and I'm 25 now so I really did watch a lot of shows.


I'm not familiar to almost all of dramas you replied. I'm so excited to start my jdrama journey again with you guys. If you have more suggestions just keep it coming. I'm actually creating my list now. By the way, you guys also share some sites or apps to watch Jdorama online. The free one is preferred.




PS: I notice that someone give me the recommendation for YoiTV, a free streaming app to watch Japanese TV shows online. I'd check it out recently. Thank you. :-)

YoiTV - the free app, offers the service for watching Japanese TV live. It was primarily for my wife's monolingual Japanese parents to watch when they come to visit us at home in California. Our Japanese is not good enough to comprehend Japanese programming without subtitles. Furthermore, my wife's parents are unlikely to return to the US given Covid pandemic. Free Resources for Learning Japanese - YoiTV App

I'm making this post to hopefully provide some useful tips and resources for someone new to learning japanese and who's lost on where to start. I'll go with the order that worked for me, but there is no right or wrong way to learn Japanese, and if something works for you then do keep doing it. A lot of "sections" it helps to learn in parallel, so don't take this as a step-by-step guide, more of a reference. 1. Hiragana and Katakana The website tofugu.com is wonderful at teaching them, and this is definitely where I would start 2. Grammar The best way I know of is this: https://guidetojapanese.org/learn/complete/ It does have a learning curve to it (it uses pretty complex kanji and assumes you know kana pretty well already), but it explains the material very clearly. 3.
