Test YoiTV And Surprised By Its Amazing Features

My Japanese TV live subscription has expired and renewal seems to be complicated. I decided to test YoiTV since it has been displaying on this subreddit. It has a better interface than other live streaming app and there are a few features I noticed immediately. They are quite basic but are a huge quality of life improvement:


The time is displayed in JST. I don't understand why this isn't the case with other apps. 

Ability to have a favorite list.

YoiTV records everything for a certain period. With the app, you can "record" future TV show and they'll show up in your recording tab. I put "recording" in quotes since I believe they go away in 2 weeks or so. But it's a nice way to curate TV shows. 

Final thoughts: Lastly, I hope to find a web URL to download the videos. I enjoyed downloading some TV shows and movies to Plex for things I wanted to watch eventually.

YoiTV - the free app, offers the service for watching Japanese TV live. It was primarily for my wife's monolingual Japanese parents to watch when they come to visit us at home in California. Our Japanese is not good enough to comprehend Japanese programming without subtitles. Furthermore, my wife's parents are unlikely to return to the US given Covid pandemic. The Awesome App To Watch Japanese Stream

I'd like to find the best app to watch Japanese streams. It is similar to twitch. Why not just use Twitch? Although there are plenty of Japanese speaking streamers there, my twitch has bugs that don't allow me to even enter the app.  Afterwards, my friend recommended one free streaming app called YoiTV. It have been really popular recently. Great for learning casual Japanese.
