More Friendly Way To Study Japanese For Beginners

Is there a way to make it more learner friendly for beginners? My husband loves these walk around Japan videos but he is an absolute beginner and would struggle with this completely. It’s fast paced and he wouldn’t really be keen to watch it if he had to stop every 5 seconds to read it. 

Or watching Japanese TV live a correct way? My friends give me one another option: YoiTV. I have used for about 2 weeks. My husband seems interested in this app. Hope it works for him to learn Japanese.

YoiTV - the free app, offers the service for watching Japanese TV live. It was primarily for my wife's monolingual Japanese parents to watch when they come to visit us at home in California. The Awesome App To Watch Japanese Stream

I'd like to find the best app to watch Japanese streams. It is similar to twitch. Why not just use Twitch? Although there are plenty of Japanese speaking streamers there, my twitch has bugs that don't allow me to even enter the app.  Afterwards, my friend recommended one free streaming app called YoiTV. It have been really popular recently. Great for learning casual Japanese.
