Advice on Learning Japanese - Is YoiTV useful

I started learning Japanese a little over two months ago and I feel like I haven't made much progress - I follow the MoeWay guide.

I finished the Tae Kim grammar guide and am currently reviewing it, and I've been doing Anki flashcards for a little under a month. However, whenever I go online and attempt to read random japanese stuff, it's almost impossible for me save for super simple sentences.

Is there anything else I should be doing?

Someone online told me: how about adding to some fun by watching Japanese anime or some Japanese TV programs for Japanese kids with not complicated contents? You can try YoiTV app airing Japanese TV channels live. (Channel 81 and Channel 2)
