I fully understand Japanese with Japanese subtitles
I have been learning Japanese for about 5-6 months now. My speaking ability is alright, mostly no problems with every day stuff. When I watch Japanese TV shows, movies, music, etc, I can understand pretty much everything with Japanese subtitles on.
However, once I turn those off, I understand significantly less (sometimes nothing at all) and have to repeat it several times. Now I decide to use the free app called YoiTV app, with which I practice my oral and listening skill of Japanese language.
