I love Japanese baseball as much as MLB, but I can never find a source to watch any of the games, only highlights after the fact.  Does anyone know how I could watch some full games this year?  Some people online told me the free app YoiTV. I was so excited to finally get to watch some of my favorite Japanese movies with my husband even though he's English is better than my Japanese he can't watch things in English, must have subtitles. I've been learning Japanese for about 3 weeks now, and I've only been trying to learn for 1 out of those weeks. I would love a way to keep myself motivated while learning it. Actually it highly depends on what you're into. If I was just going to give someone a recommendation for something that is short, easy to watch, embodies the spirit of anime, and still manages to evoke strong emotions at times, I'd say Gunbuster. If someone is looking for an anime that's closer to what they like in live-action, I'd probably recommend something less over-the-top, I'd go with something along with lines of Baccano!, Perfect Blue, Jin-Rou, Grave of Fireflies, Kino no Tabi (2003), Serei no Moribito, Texhnolyze... If they're looking for something a bit longer, GitS: Stand Alone Complex (2 seasons), Monster, LoGH... It definitely depends on taste. I'm looking for Ken Shimura-type comedy shows or shows with physical comedy. My Japanese mother has dementia and enjoys physical comedy. I'm hoping there's a channel or two that airs these types of shows 24/7 (even re-runs) as I don't know Japanese. I've found episodes on YouTube but that's a hassle for me compared to just tuning into a channel.
