Share To Watch Anime With My Mom

So I introduced my mom to anime just recently. I let her watch Fumetsu no Anata e (To Your Eternity) and surprisingly she loved it.

The series was still ongoing that time and she couldn't wait for more episodes so she wanted to watch another anime!! I was so happy. I suggested Violet Evergarden since I thought she would like it as well and she did. 



She even watched more episodes than me and I didn't finish the series yet, so my mom goes: "bloodyespresso!!! You have to watch Episode X now so we can discuss it!!"

I just wanted to share cause it made me so happy that I got to share some of my interests with my mom. By the way, I have to share one free app for all of you guys: YoiTV to watch anime on AT-X channel.

Free Resources for Learning Japanese - YoiTV App

I'm making this post to hopefully provide some useful tips and resources for someone new to learning japanese and who's lost on where to start. I'll go with the order that worked for me, but there is no right or wrong way to learn Japanese, and if something works for you then do keep doing it. A lot of "sections" it helps to learn in parallel, so don't take this as a step-by-step guide, more of a reference. 1. Hiragana and Katakana The website tofugu.com is wonderful at teaching them, and this is definitely where I would start 2. Grammar The best way I know of is this: https://guidetojapanese.org/learn/complete/ It does have a learning curve to it (it uses pretty complex kanji and assumes you know kana pretty well already), but it explains the material very clearly. 3.
